Chemicals are harsh on your hands and your lungs. Next time you are ready to attack your dirty windows or mirrors, make up some vinegar water in an old spray bottle. 1 part white vinegar to 10 parts water is a good ratio. Spray your windows with the mixture and wipe off with crumpled newspaper. A little elbow grease may also be required. The newspaper doesn’t leave any lint behind and has a slight abrasive effect, which leaves your windows super clean. The key to avoiding streaks is to dry the windows as quickly as possible.
Note: Make sure the newspaper is only used to clean the glass not the frame as the ink can leave dirty marks on your paintwork.
